Masks are done!

Dear Parents and Students,

We're always busy. Most recently, we've had the pleasure of working with Anne Barber of Shadowland Theater, who's helped us put together some masks based on Inuit and Haida traditions. Students designed masks and sculpted them in clay to create a base, then papier mached over that base to create a wearable mask. Last Friday, we painted and added other finishing touches. We'll be displaying them at the school, but I wanted to give you a preview here. Plus, I think, masks really come alive when they're being worn.

This link will take you to the gallery of student photos. (I've done my best to avoid posting photos with student faces, for privacy sake, so some masks are not included in this set for that reason.)
